| Share

If you're based in the Mackay area and looking for an active and rewarding way to get out and meet new people, this might be right up your alley. You'll also be helping to improve the health and wellbeing of people with a disability in your community...

Endeavour Foundation is one of Australia's most successful and well known human services organisations, dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of people with a disability.

The foundation is running a community engagement program known as 'Walk and Talk' which pairs community volunteers with people with intellectual disability to walk for at least half an hour around their local neighbourhood. This forms part of Endeavour Foundation’s Health and Wellbeing which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of people with an intellectual disability.

They are seeking volunteers in the Mackay area to participate and help to change the lives of the people we support. To be considered for this role you should:

  • Hold a current First Aid Certificate (not optional);
  • Hold a current Positive Notice Card Yellow Card or Blue Card;
  • Have some experience in a relevant sector or a genuine passion for community work;
  • Have a flexible timetable to be able to work in with people supported by Endeavour Foundation.
