Media
After 18 months of planning, Mining Family Matters was officially launched on 1 February 2010. The response from media in our first few months was overwhelming, with radio, print and TV journalists across the Australia keen to learn more about the website and the unique pressures of FIFO rosters and living away from family and friends in isolated mining communities. The interest has continued into 2011, with the March launch of The Survival Guide for Mining Families generating more than 50 radio interviews and newspaper stories across the country.
Media releases include:
- New guides helps with the challenges of working away
- A woman's guide to thriving in mining
- The Survival Guide for Mining Families - showing families how to survive and thrive
- Mining families urged to tackle big four stresses during Men's Health Week
